Latin America White-Label Market Watch: The Customization Battle Behind Brazil's 85 Licenses

How hot is the Latin American market? Look at the numbers first. According to H2 Gambling Capital: in 2026, the total revenue of the Latin American (including Caribbean) iGaming market exceeded $35 billion, nearly tripling from around $12.4 billion in 2020, with a compound annual growth rate of 26%. Brazil is even more aggressive: its regulated market launched in January 2025, generating $7 billion in revenue in its first full year; by May 2026, there were already 85 licensed operators, each allowed to carry up to 3 brands. Positions are limited, so the competition is all about differentiation.

Baungartner, Chief Commercial Officer of Brazil's leading group Esportes Gaming Brasil, recently gave an interview to iGaming Business about their choice: when launching the new brand LOTTU in August last year, they did not buy an off-the-shelf system. The core platform source code came from NGX, and they built an additional development layer on top. The reason is straightforward — the market is expanding too fast, and ready-made platforms cannot respond quickly enough. "The decisive factor is not the platform itself, but how quickly it can keep up with changes."

Industry consultant Ramiro Atucha pointed out the other side: large suppliers prefer one system to serve all markets, prioritizing resources for the few with the highest revenue, while customization needs in small and medium markets have to wait in line. But today's small operators may become tomorrow's big clients in three years. If no one serves this demand, it becomes an opportunity for latecomers.

This aligns with the trend we see in the custom white-label solution projects: what clients want is not the one with the longest feature list, but the one that can be modified and modified quickly. When evaluating platform system selection, it is recommended to treat "requirement change response cycle" as a hard metric written into the contract: how many days to launch a new game mode, how many days to add a payment channel, how many days for a UI revamp. Once the numbers are laid out, the gap cannot be hidden.

Latin America's today may not be Southeast Asia's tomorrow, but the chain of "faster regulation, denser competition, rising customization demand" is worth every team preparing to build a platform thinking through in advance.
